Highly qualified Pharmacy Technician with 35 years of pharmacy services, bringing management, medical experience to institutional settings. Seeking a challenging, responsible position where my experience can be effectively utilized.
Pharmacy Certificate and license 1996 to 2014
I had multiple positions. My first couple of years I was a team technician Pharmacy Coordinator, in which I would call patients to set up deliveries for their IV antibiotics, TPNs, hydrations and also catheter care. I would screen for compliance as well as verify if there were any issues on there home regimen, such as; a drug reaction (nausea, vomiting, fever, diarrhea etc).
I would help in the IV Room when we were short on staff. This included, mixing IV medications and TPN's, as well as being familiar with nursing supplies to prepare for delivery.
I was then placed to be Enteral Coordinator . I would call patients to verify how much food they were taking any reactions or issues with j-tube, peg-tube, and g-tube. I worked closely with a dietitian, who would assess patients and direct me to write an order and fax to doctor's office.
Very fast pace IV room. I worked well with others to get the work done accurately and in a timely manner.
AIP was a Pharmacy that provided IV's and filled medication in bingo cards sent to the nursing homes.
