Currently I am working as a Pharmacy Clerk/Technician. I provide customer service directly with customers in person and on the phone. Being friendly and approachable and willing to help are important to my job. I also have great listening and speaking skills, as I am often the go-between for customers and pharmacists, relaying information between the two parties. Additionally, I must restock supplies and keep accurate records of what materials are coming in and going out of the pharmacy. In addition, I check out patients in a quick and accurate manner. As well as doing clergy duties, I also do many of the tasks technicians perform. Such as, receiving written prescriptions or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate. I maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs. I fill patients bottles with prescribed medications and type and affix labels. I assist customers by answering simple questions, locating items or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information. I also have been learning an extensive amount of information, this regarding which drugs are used for a specific illness or disease, what the side effects may be, and many other things about pharmaceuticals.
For the past couple of months I have been volunteering at the St. Paul Veterinary Clinic. I have assisted the veterinarian during medical and surgical procedures. Ranging from a simple spay/neuter to cesarean sections.
Being in a management position at Aldo, I have to be able to do an array of different tasks and have a variety of skills. I have to create an outstanding buying experience for the customer. Execute floor leadership, own the sales floor with the Store Manager; greet all customers in a professional, friendly, and timely manner, including answering phones and directing customer inquiries. Set the ideal example of an exceptional Sales Associate, be the one Sales Associates look to for guidance on how to succeed. Coach and develop Sales Associates to problem solve customer issues. Work with store management in opening, closing and operating the retail facility, including but not limited to cash handling and deposits as governed by operations control standards. Complete accurate paperwork and transactions according to company policies and procedures. Assist with inventory counts as needed. Assist in maintaining store appearance and merchandising standards.
