I am a first year nursing student at Galen College of nursing in Cincinnati Ohio. I have always cared for people and wanted to help others. I am very sociable and love to work in teams. I am definitely able and willing to work independently as well. I love to learn and take on new challenges big and small. I have wanted to work in a hospital for a very long time due to the level of professionalism and the new faces and experiences that hospitals can offer it’s employees. I am a quick learner and an active listener. I am always willing, ready, able, and wanting to learn more and advance. I have CPR, first aid, basic life support training that has expired and will require recertification through my college or another certified organization. I have been trained in body mechanics, and I have taken a one-year business management class Before beginning my certification program at great Oaks. I have also been trained to work with geriatrics, combative residence and I have been given some training on rehabilitation and acute patients. I plan to work in pediatrics or in the NICU as a new nurse. I am always ready and willing to make changes in order to best understand and care for those in need. I am very reliable, I do well under pressure in stressful situations. I am almost always willing to pick up any extra shifts and fill positions where it’s needed the most in order to best help those my team and I are caring for. I also love to pass on the knowledge that I do have from my experiences. In the last few years I’ve worked on myself in order to begin my career and I’m ready to learn!
