I've been in payroll about 18 years, and HR for the last four years. I enjoy the many of challenges of both areas. Have processed payroll, and the post payroll. Also was in charge of figuring/verifying the quarterly contributions for the agency's retirement plan (401k).
Organized balancing out the employee benefits with invoices so as not to have errors on what the employee was paying and what the agency was paying, also created check lists for just about every task needed when doing any part of my last job as Payroll-HR Coordinator. Got a good grip on the employer contribution to the employee's 401k, streamlined the process, and put the upload to chemical bank in motion. Received many compliments for Chemical bank on my knowledge and accuracy. Put the upload of payroll direct deposit to chemical bank in motion also. Streamlined the paper work for new hires, and the orientation of new hires.
Processed payroll, and all that it entails before and after the process.
Entered all employee information into HRMS data base and Sage Payroll data base.
Pulled audit paperwork and ensured all was accurate to maintain a "low risk" audit.
Implemented our timekeeping system
Implemented the upload of direct deposits and ERP to chemical bank
Implemented the "forms design" in Sage to tweak the pay checks/vouchers.
Answered employee questions for timekeeping, leave time, ERP, and benefits.
Processed payroll weekly.
Provided reports to supervisors, weekly and monthly
Handled employees payroll questions
Covered breaks for the front desk receptionist by greeting people and answering the phone for the entire plant.
I was a server, trained new servers, managed the day shift, where I did all the day shift projecting sales and employee scheduling and ordered food and supplies from the head quarters. Balanced the spreadsheets with the main office on purchases for food, controllable, and non-controllable. Was a Franchise Service Instructor for Elias Brothers and visited 80 Big Boy stores in MIchigan to let them know what they were doing right and what they could do to improve on service and any policies or procedures they might not know or weren't doing. Assisted owners on their openings of new Big Boys in the front of the house.
Updated savings books, sent out interest statements or checks on time certificated, processed the automatic deductions for all five branches (wasn't computerized back then)
