Like Plymouth,NC I have conducted traffic stops, served subpoenas, warrants, orders for arrest, and criminal summons here at Red Springs Police Department. DMV-349's were also completed in my time at this agency. Parades, protests and crowd control were part of my duties as well. The Town of Red Springs hired me knowing that my intentions were to go back to Eastern North Carolina at some point in time but also knew that I was requesting to work the area due to a decisive shortness in staff. Sgt Tammy Lowery, myself and Officer Aaron Lowry were able to successfully take calls for service, conduct traffic stops, paper service (OFA's, WFA's, etc.), funeral escorts for approximately 4 months on end until we began to get more officers in patrol to lighten the work load.
Special details involved but not limited to:
*Assaults with deadly weapon
*Overdose Incidents involving Fentanyl
*Assisting Fire and EMS on calls
While working as a reserve officer for the Town of Parkton,NC I was allowed to work at Plymouth Police Department until 2018 when I was promoted to Corporal in Plymouth. I resigned my position in Parkton to allow for new officers straight out of college or transferring from a different agency. My duties consisted of patrolling the neighborhoods, streets and businesses of this lovely town of 500 people. I at the time answered directly to Sgt Michaels and Chief Sam May. Business checks, escorts and running traffic control was the basic part of my duties.
