Dedicated and focused Customer Service Specialist who excels at prioritizing, completing multiple tasks simultaneously and following through to achieve project goals. Seeking a role of increased responsibility and authority.
I currently process incoming prescriptions from several VA hospitals that we are contracted with to provide oxygen and some DME equipment. My responsibility is to ensure the prescription has all required items in order to process. Once it is determined that everything that is needed for the order, I verify if a ticket is to be created for delivery or pick up, as well as maintaining accurate records in system we use. I contact local offices and the VA contacts for additional information, pass on information, or to help patients. My department works between the VA hospitals and local offices all across the US. I am also a back up for other responsibilities on my team.
My responsibilities included maintaining the cash drawer, closing out repair orders, maintaining the repair order files, and helping customers with whatever was needed. I answered phone calls, entered warranty claims, and helped schedule appointments as needed. I also helped the finance manager sell service maintenance packages.
I worked in several departments during this time period. I started out in Pulmo Dose pharmacy, which provided nebulizer medication, then moved to a newly created department, Pulmo Dose Intake. In the company pharmacy, I processed prescriptions from the doctors which included making sure all the required documentation was notated in order to bill the insurance. I also created prescription requests, answered phones which included placing orders for patients who called in, worked closely with the pharmacists, and verified insurance. I created a spreadsheet that allowed members on our team to cross reference insurance with what prescription plans that were used. This cut down on a lot of time verifying the insurance. I also worked in the Sleep Central department which is a call center for patients with PAP devices. I placed orders, troubleshot, and a liaison between local offices, patients, and billing. I moved on to the VA Central Intake department.
I worked many departments within the store, from Merchandising Assistant, Visual Merchandiser, to Basic Logic Associate. Within every position, I always provided customer assistance when needed. As a Merchandising Assistant, I worked closely with the Merchandising Manager in maintaining the department to standards, informing of outs and fast/slow sellers, and customer requests. I also was considered a Key Carrier which added the responsibility of being opening and closing management. My duties for every position included setting the departments to company standards, maintaining stock on the selling floor, working the cash register, assisting customers and handling complaints.
