To render pastoral care to patients in a hospital which esteems such care as essential to the overall care process, and be an effective and pro-active member of this hospital's team of care-givers.
Am known and affirmed for writing Christ-centered, Gospel-based articles for local newspaper. Advised and guided several churches in selecting and purchasing new hymnals and Bibles. Instituted a survey for member churches in the Association I, too, am a part of, to ascertain the scope and effectiveness of the curriculum then employed in their Sunday School program(s). Upon receiving same, collated and disseminated the results.
Enrolled in two separate, semester-long courses oriented to hospital chaplaincy: 1st, the Lexington, Kentucky V.A. Medical Center; 2nd, the University of Kentucky Medical Center -- where I was solely responsible for the spiritual care and oversight of those patients in the Cardiac ICU, the Neonatal ICU, and the whole of the Maternity Ward (prenatal and post-partum).
This degree required me to write and then defend my Thesis.
Magna cum laude, Honors in Religion, Top 10% of Class.
