I've had three previous jobs: ODU parking staff, Buggy Bathe, and Coastal Edge. I've acquired many skills and gathered much knowledge from these jobs. What I've learned from my first job at ODU, being customer service/ Parking staff, was how to deal with customers professionally,remember where i am to give directions correctly, control traffic, collect tickets while remembering the number on each to ensure there wouldn't be multiples of the same ticket, and help customers with any questions they'd have.
At Buggy Bathe as a detailer and team leader i learned a few things as well. I learned how to detail cars, stay calm in high stressed situations, tolerate the heat and cold or uncomfortable positions in general, deal with unhappy customers to help them become satisfied, physical labor, paying attention to minor details, not making the same mistake twice, and learn to work as a team with other coworkers.
While working at Coastal Edge, where i currently work, as a salesperson and on the register I've also learned a couple of valuable skills. I've learned how to hold casual conversations, provide information for merchandise, remember the details about the merchandise, how to answer questions with the information I'm provided with while sounding professional even if i don't have all the information, how to handle multiple customers at once, and remembering names.
Overall, i have a lot of work experience and still have room to grow and have a will to work and gather more information.
While working i achieved many great accomplishments. I was promoted while working at Bathe to Team Leader. I took three written tests and passed all three. While working at Coastal Edge I had the best sales in June 2014 and I had the most improvement in November 2014. I was trusted with the keys to the skate, glasses, and register at Coastal Edge as well.
Direct traffic, customer service, help parking, give directions, collect tickets, maintain the peace in the lot/garage, clean the lot/garage, and set up the cones.
Detail cars, sell washes, take requests from customers, clean work area.
Sell merchandise, assist customers, answer questions, present merchandise, provide information for merchandise, maintain a clean workplace, hold conversations, remember names and faces, work the register, handle the keys for merchandise, check in shipment.
Computer club, attended many four year college tour events.
