My job was to patrol the Park regularly, with public safety being my first priority; securing the Park property and resources; as well as administrative duties. Educational and enforcement contacts were a daily occurrence regarding boating, camping, and use of the Parks facilities. This was a temporary position only.
My job involved taking all calls from the public coming into the Sheriff's Office, including 911 Emergency; and dispatching for 28 agencies. This position required that I be able to prioritize calls, accurately gather detailed information, work with mapping systems and law enforcement software; using radio and phone communication with the caller and the first responders. Organization, multi-tasking, and dealing with hysterical callers; staying calm and professional at all times.
I opened, and operated a full service florist ~ made fudge right in the store ~ and purchased gift lines for my customers. During holidays, I would supervise the additional staff required for customer service and delivery. This position required me to be organized, detail-oriented, professional, reliable, and able to multi-task. I enjoyed working with the public, and an excellent reputation in the community.
