Currently I am working with a medical supply company for nursing homes where my main title is Administrative Assistant, my duties include taking customer service calls or emails from our sales reps and resolve any issues, the data entry process of closing orders and then emailing them to our main California office, process any facility returns that need to be picked up via fedex and doing the paperwork once they are returned, process and email over any damaged product returned by facilities to submit for claims, create our drivers daily routes for deliveries.Any other paperwork that may need to be handled.
I also have been trained and held the position of Receiving Associate where my duties were also handling the fedex claims and returns but also to do the data entry for all shipments coming in.
When I have time I also help in the picking department where they hand pick each item that is needed for the order,then package the box up and set aside for the correct shipping department,either fedex or local trucking carriers. I also have training in helping the shipping department where i create the bill of ladding for the orders and print out pallet tags.
pick up the trays when they are coming off the machine,inspect them and package them in the correct bags if needed and then put in a box for shipping
take incoming calls from people who had questions on their medical bills, take payments over the phone and process, call insurance companies regarding claims and payments, checking the hospitals computer system for any information that was needed by either the insurance company or by the person calling about their bill
take customer service calls from people calling regarding issues with their furniture or major appliance, where we would set up service calls and/ or order replacements. also handled doing internet sales which the people would call in and tell us what they wanted and we did the online shopping for them. also took calls on people wanting to open new charge accounts in having to check elegibility of credit.
i went to the above on a part time basis and started an internship at the Human Relations commission Office in Reading being an assistant for Diana Rivera o' Bryant, answering any phone calls coming into her office. I did not get to graduate or finish the intership.
