There was a previous feed store on site and we turned that store around from barely any business to a very busy, popular store. Seeing the turn around was a great personal accomplishment that made me very proud.
Growing up with a father as a veterinarian, I immediately shared his passion of caring for animals. I have rescued many unwanted and abused animals and have rehabilitated them so they can having loving homes of their own. I currently have a wide variety of animals of my own and enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. I love talking to others and helping them give the best care possible for their pets.
This little business is something I do more for fun. I bring small farm animals, inflatable bounce houses, and a trackless train to children parties or school carnivals. This allows me to educate people about animals and they get to be hands on which is something most people do not get to do.
I currently have my own small retail business. Most of my sales are through a website, but I also enjoy taking my business to rodeo's and other vendor opportunity places here in the East Valley.
I enjoyed my time as a feed store and barn manager. I made sure all of the employees were on time and efficient and had what they needed to reach their daily goals. I did all of the weekly ordering and made sure everything was received, priced and stocked on the shelves the day it came in. As a manager of the feed store, it was my responsibility to make sure all of the opening and closing duties were complete as well as monthly inventory.
I was on the board of a non-profit 501 c 3 foundation called Against All Odds. The mission for this foundation was to take in unwanted and abused animals and pair them up with special needs and abused children. The impact these animals had on the children was something I will never forget. I had the honor of getting to see first hand the lives that were changed by these amazing animals. I am currently working with numerous dog and cat rescues in the valley. We spend countless hours transporting them from the shelters to their foster homes, vet appointments for vaccinations, and spay or neuter procedures before they are set up for adoption.
