Trades Specialist trained in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, machine operations and machine maintenance. Also trained in automotive mechanics, metal fabrication, general fabrication, machining and welding with a dynamic personality and a proven track record to accel and advance. Proven record of dilligence, loyalty and leadership.
I have a proven record of advancing and leadership through out my entire work history. I'm goal oriented and confident but accept direction well. I've spent several years in the Trades Specialist/Maintenance/Facilities Operations industry in the past years but have changed gears over the last 7 years and currently own and operate a Motorsports business. I spent nearly two years in trade school in Florida in preparation for the motorsports industry where I reached my personal goals of perfect attendance and a 4.0 GPA and graduated at the top of my class. With my goal oriented drive and self motivation, I believe I can accel in any workplace or industry.
In my years in my own business, I've handled every responsibility entailed in owning a Motorsports business. Aside from the necessary skills to complete repair, maintenance, fabrication tasks of the business, I've also handled the other "business" side. This includes general operations, book keeping, customer relations, sales, management, etc.
I started as a shop rat fresh out of trade school in Florida. Within 3 months I was lead Fabricator and builder. Within a year I was a share holder of the company with the above mentioned responsibilities with the addition of customer relations, business operations, hand machining and basic CNC operated machine operations.
I began as a basic student trainee learning how to write rental contracts and deal with customers. Within 3 months I was working 60+ hours a week and responsible for managing a rental fleet of motorcycles including their maintenance schedules, customer contracts and opening and closing my department all the while maintaining perfect attendance and a 4.0 GPA.
At CUOL I began as a generic maintenance technician, specifically building, grounds and equipment maintenance. This included carpentry, plumbing, electrical, equipment maintenance and grounds maintenance. By the end of my tour in 2005, in addition the the above responsibilities, I was active interim Superintendent, which included managing the entire property before, during and after business hours.
From 1997 to around May of 2000, I worked part time as a trades specialist and began full time while also attending full time school from May of 2000 to July 2002. My responsibilities there included general building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, electrical diagnostic and repair as well as "customer" relations.
I focused on general "transfer" studies preparing to transfer to Clemson University, during that time I attained the Deans list and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
I did not finish at Clemson University. At that point in my life, I had a sick father and was not focused on school, I dropped out and continued work at the Clemson University Outdoor Laboratory.
At MMI, I immediately accelled to the top of my class and graduated with perfect attendance, a 4.0 GPA and at the top of my class.
