I currently own my own Log Home Finishing Co. that has been very interesting, challenging, and rewarding. Because of the shear physical nature of the job coupled with the unhealthy benefits of the various sawdusts and the risks of constantly working off the ground with power tools makes it hard to keep a full crew. Especially in the winter months. My wife and I think it's time I seek a career with a future.
I have excelled at every sales job or management position I have ever had to be one of the top performers in overall gross with exceptional customer satisfaction and customer retention results.
I have over 6 years in the mortgage origination field with the last 3 years running my own company as a Mortgage Broker and performing all the clerical, legal, record keeping, ensuring that all loan officers training and paperwork is conforming to State and Federal laws. Other responsibilities were payroll, advertising, originating and negotiating loans with clients in my personal pipeline as well as constantly learning while overseeing and helping with the files of fellow loan officers. I never did any "Pay for advertising," only word of mouth , referral and repeat clients and always kept ahead of most loan officers in production.
I have over 12 years experience in the Automobile Management, Finance and Sales fields. Showing my strongest skills to be Used Car MGR, F&I MGR and the hiring, training, and maintaining of a sales crew.
When visual allure is matched by remarkable performance.

After spending 3 years as a mortgage Banker and Loan Originator and obtaining the experience and qualifications needed, I obtained my Broker's License and was very successful until the Mortgage as a whole came to a time of instability with the banks. 95% of my business was hard to do loans, Self employed, too much land, MFH, bad credit, and I did many construction loans. ( A few for myself). It all simply went away. The year 2010 started out real slow and tapered off from there. It came to a point of having absolutely no Integrity and certainty as to what you could offer a client. My income level dropped 80% in 2010. Thought I would take a break, help out a friend staining a few log cabins in Montana for a couple months and one thing led to another.
I was hired on at Smith's KIA of Bellingham for a three month period with a $15,000 guarantee per month. My goal was to double Sales Volume and Gross in New and Used auto sales while maintaining or improving CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index). I was also to purify the used car inventory. It was about 80k in the red and the average cost per car was way too high for the median area, a College Town.
I immediately began by replacing and training key personnel in the sales force. I acted as backup closer, F&I, salesman, and continually assisted the service dept with the handling of New car customer service problems that many felt as KIA was a fairly new line and had its share of issues. We initiated a new car loaner program for service customers that was a huge success and contributed to car sales.
In short, three months later we had maintained an excellent CSI rating in both New Car Sales and Service, doubled sales volume, almost tripled gross and the used car inventory was fresh (under 60 days in inventory).
I stuck around for an extra 5 days to fully explain our business format to the Sales Mgr replacing me and made sure every car deal I had rolled was bought. Instructed him as to how I maintained a 60 day turn of used inventory, my purchasing system and inventory cost averaging, advertising theories, and on hands training approach with sales staff.
I was offered by Darrin Hamblin (Corporate GM) and Jerry Smith (Owner) to stay on permanently with a 15k monthly guarantee. I declined to get back to my home in Colton Oregon.
Note: Based on the prior pay plan of the GSM I replaced, I earned more than my guarantee of 15k per month for all three months employed. Without paying myself specifically for sales, closing, or F&I products that I sold. I was simply there to make the biggest impact I could in 90 days.
As a Mortgage Loan Originator I was responsible for all aspects of originating and negotiating loans.

- Managed personal pipeline to ensure service standards and financial goals were met
- Consistently worked in accordance with published departmental sales and service standards
- Transacted business in conformance with state and federal regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA and Fair Lending Practices

I started as a salesman for Bob Frink Nissan. Sold 1 car in first 2 weeks. Tried to quit but was talked out of it with the promise of some real training directly from the GM. After that, I sold 16 cars in 14 days and netted $6426. on my check for the 2 week period. After that month, I never earned less than 10k a month and can't remember ever being outsold by anyone at any dealership I worked for. After 6 months I was sent to Dealer Management Group's F&I Training in Arlington,TX. Subsequently, was the top F&I producer shortly thereafter.
I moved to a volume producing store (Thomason Toyota)... that sold over 400 New and Used cars a month. I had to return to the line and prove myself again for a shot at a management position. I sold 28-32 cars a month for 4 months and was promoted to F&I Mgr. Attended another F&I training school at the TMCC plant in CA. After a couple of years I tried managing a crew of salespeople. They handed me the worst producing crew and within 60 days we were kicking the other 4 crews but with over 100 units sold for the month, and that never stopped. Years later, I was promoted to Used Car Mgr and have held that title at a few different dealerships with great success.
I will list as references, A few of the Dealership Owners for you to contact for verification.
I obtained my License from Coast Guard to operate and navigate a passenger carrying vessel within 3 miles of Oregon coast (Quite the overkill) within 30 days of my interview date for the job. Operated Canby and Wheatland Ferries and worked on Bridge Maint. crew in winter months/ high water.
