13 years of being in the oil and gas Industry. I have done everything from welders helper to roustabout to heavy equipment operator and even an owner/operator of my own trucking company.
I have been an owner/operator for the last 8 years. Hauled everything from fresh water, to moving crude on location. Done all kinds of service work on all kinds of wells. Being and owner you have to keep up on paperwork, schedules, pay and maintenance of trucks. I have a total of 13 years being in the oilfield as a roustabout setting up locations, pipelining and everything to do with that.
Fresh water, production water, moved crude on location and did many different kinds of service jobs in the oilfield. Also maintained and did most of all the maintenance of all the trucks. Everything from changing oil and greasing to wheel bearings and seals. Also did water pumps, fan clutches, turbos and lighting issues basically any and all repairs that could be done without needing to be hooked to ECM. Managed at least 5 to 7 drivers on any given day. Made up schedules, keep up on all dot regulations did payroll and did all hiring and firing.
Hauled fresh water, crude, production, drilling mud, and Cal. I also ran supervac and help mechanics work on trucks. Did radiators, brakes, tires and wheels seals.
Hauled production water and fresh water for different companies. Checked on disposals made sure pressures were good and pump running right. Also stayed in touch with pumpers to get gauges on tanks so I could know what ones to haul.
Did minor maintenance and had to look after 14 different pieces of equipment at one time running the crusher. As the payloader operator I had to keep up on minor maintenance and keep the crusher full at all times.
Set up locations, stood pumping units, put in pipelines. I helped set up treaters, fix fire tubes, plum in well heads everything to get a sit up and going. Also did maintenance on their semis like brakes, wiring, wheel seals and tires. Also maintained vehicles that weren't under warranty. I reclaimed locations running dozer and backhoe as well.
Worked on compressor plants for natural gas. Flanged valves, laid pipe, did some welding, assembled pumping stations and ran equipment.
I was born and raised on this farm. Started running equipment when I was 8 years old. Started doing most of the maintenance when I got older. Started running a 6601 JD and a 105 JD combine. Also a 1170 Case and a Steiger Cougar. Later starting doing the work on them from cylinder bars and concaves to chains, belts walker boxes. Then we got 7720s and the same thing there. I also worked on 924, 925 and 930 headers. We completely rebuilt a Steiger Cougar in 1998 from paint to tires to you name it. Also worked on a JD 4440, 4455 and a 4430.
Was in FFA, shop and anything hands on.
