I have been a licensed CNA for 23 years. I received my Patient Care Technician Virginia board license in 2005 through University of Virginia Medical Center. There I worked as a licensed PCT for 7 years on the heart and lung floor. My job duties were all aspects of patient care, starting IV's, phlebotomy, invasive treatments such as tube feeding, insertion of foley cathetars and enemas. Currently I am enrolled in the Practical Nursing Program at Piedmont Virginia Community College and will be graduating this December.
