Activlely looked for new self haul customers for the transfer station. Customers would haul in everything from construction materials to industrial waste. My goals were to find materials that were recyclable as well as generate revenue. As time went on, my job changed to finding "roll off" customers, and buying baled recyclables and buyers for these commodities. Then the front loader services were added. I learned to work with trash brokers from all over the US. This is where my creativity came in. As I learned how to expand all lines of business and add multiple accounts at one time, I actively converted new customers from our competitors, by finding solutions to meet their waste stream needs. I became a waste stream consultant by listening to how the customers operatons are handled. This allowed me to come up with custom waste programs using different lines of business; front loaders, roll offs, compactors, and balers.
