I started my Pharmacy training under a Pharmacist back in 2004 at a Retail Pharmacy on a Native American Reservation for five years. I had all hands on training which included inputing prescriptions into a computer, filling medication in medication bottles, I have done some adjudication, taking refills over the phone. In July, 2005 I studied for the Certification Program and passed and I have held that certification now going on eight years this coming July.
I have also worked at Rite Aid in Old Orchard Beach for two months in 2009 to February 2010. That job also entitled taking refills over the phone and adjudication as well as filling medications in medication bottles, taking inventory of what medications needed to be reordered and I also stocked medications on their proper shelves.
I found the job advertisement for Omnicare of Maine, which is a Pharmacy that services long term care facilities as far as Northern and Eastern Maine. I applied at Omnicare for the position of Order Entry Technician which entitled the job duties of answering phone calls from Long Term Care Facilities for refills, I entered prescriptions into a computer in a timely manner and I also faxed doctors offices and facilities for order clarifications. I feel I would be a good asset to your company, I am highly motivated, I am a very hard worker, reliable and very courteous to employees and patients. I love what I do for work, because I know in my heart that I am helping people and that makes me feel good. I am very careful with my work, because I know I have someone elses life in my hands.
I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician for 7 years now.I am a moderately fast typist with very minimal errors, I am very dependable, I am a very quick learner, I am friendly and professional, I take my job seriously, I have a great knowledge from generic to brand name meds, I can figure out milligrams to milleters, I work well with others and independently as well I am a self motivator. I like to make sure the patient gets what they want and on a timely manner. Nurses at the facilities would always call my extension or ask for me specifically, due to my friendliness and professionalism and they know I care for the patients.
