Service Lines LeaderMeijer － Algonquin, IL
As a Service Lines Leader, the second position in the store under the store director, I had control over the cash office, the cash lanes, and the gas station. My team of managers were in charge of all of the cash that came in and out of the store, this was in excess of $100,000 on some nights. My team and I had to insure all debit and credits balanced on a daily basis. In addition, I made all of the hiring decisions for the service department. I was also in charge of the gas station and price matching for the pumps. Last, I was acting store director 1 day and 1 night each week.
10/1995 to 06/2003
District Sales ManagerRadio Shack － Lombard, ILI worked my way up from a part time holiday associate to a top ranked
district sales manager in 4 years. As a DSM, I was responsible for recruiting,
hiring, training all 150-200 associates, and 23-29 store managers. My stores
were located in the North West suburbs of Chicago, a very difficult market. I
was in charge of all inventory, petty cash, bank deposits, and loss prevention.
I reviewed profit and loss statements every month, covered payroll and
performed audits. I figured bonuses and payroll based on profit and loss
statements, taught my managers how to make money off sales, and trained every
Saturday on mutual funds and 401K plans. I was paid a salary, but only made
bonuses off of sales and profit increases. Being the DM, I was in contact with
no only my managers and sales staff daily, but also customers. I have over 20 years'
experience with customer service and in this time, I have never received a complaint.
