Have received Good Job Well Done on several occasions.
Have helped create structures in our system that help save time and resources for day to day opporations.
I have held several positions with NBFSA. I started out as a call center representative where I excelled. As the company grew I was promoted to call center manager and was responsible for a hand full of employees as well as the day to day operations of the call center including but not limited to scheduling, training, employee development, mail processing, phone systems, data entry and more. This is a small company so employees are regularly asked to do more than just there regular jobs. As a result I have been involved in most aspects of the company including client relations and development, consulted on system development, product setup and administration, fulfillment and much more. My current primary responsibility is fulfillment. This is the process of receiving new member information and generating a welcome package that is mailed to the member. This is a cumbersome process as we deal with several insurance carriers and have multiple types of insurance under each carrier.
I was assistant manager at Quality Mart for a year. During which I was responsible for the day to day operations of the store, maintenance, Checkout (the calculation of the day's transactions and of the money earned), bank deposits, stocking, merchant relations and more.
At SFI I was a floating security officer. Meaning I went to whatever site the company needed me to go to. Therefore I had to be trained in all aspects of each site in the district I worked. As a security officer I was responsible for security tours (walking the grounds of the site and checking in at different check points), checking in and out trucks, employee verification upon entry, any required paperwork, and more.
At Sheffield Financial I was responsible for approving or denying loan applications. We would receive loan applications from all across the country for people looking to finance commercial lawn equipment. We would then run a credit check on the applicant and determine based on their past credit history whether or not we were going to approve them for a loan.
At Eckerd I started out as a part time cashier during which time I was still in High School. After Graduating High School I went full time and shortly there after was promoted to Service Assistant (2nd Assistant Manager). After a while longer I was promoted to Assistant Manager. The main different between Service Assistant and Assistant Manager was moving from 3rd in charge of the store to 2nd in charge and a pay increase. The responsibilities did not change. I was responsible for the day to day operations of the store and the employees, receiving the weekly truck and stocking, handling the moneys for the day, making deposits, and any other managerial responsibilities you would typically associate with being a retail manager. At the time of my departure from Eckerd, they were trying to convince me to take a promotion to Store Manager and give me my own store, however I had tired of retail at that point and wanted to pursue other opportunities.
I was in JROTC all 4 years of high school. During that time I received several awards including the Superior Cadet Award. My senior year I was Commander of our Drill Team and on the Battalion Staff. I graduated at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was the highest ranking cadet at my school.
I have taken all required courses and passed all required testing and am currently an active licensed Life and Health agent in the state of North Carolina.
My Interests Include
In addition to my general knowledge of how to operate a computer and use of several Microsoft products like Word and Excel, I'm also accustomed to using Adobe Acrobat, Databases built in Filemaker, and am willing to learn any other type of software that may be of use or required in future employment opportunities.
Aside from my computer skills I'm also well versed in working with my hands. As some would say I'm a Jack of all trades and a Master of none. I'm very analytical and can easily understand how things work. If I can't figure it out on my own I'm not afraid of a little research and or instruction. Whatever it takes to get the job done and done correctly.
