My professional background is in accounting and business. My first "real" job was with Lamone Candy and Tobacco, Inc. in Salina, Kansas. I was at that job for 21 years. I started as a receptionist and ended up being Corporate Secretary. I was also the
personal secretary to the President.
After 21 years at Lamones I went into the banking field for 15 years. In banking I've held the positions of teller, Trust Representative, Personal Banking Officer, Branch Manager and Preferred Status Coordinator.
I was extensively involved in Lamone Candy and Tobacco, Inc. going to computers and helped set up the accounting system. We also moved from a small warehouse to one about 4 times the size. I also helped the process of going to a 24 hour business, with filling orders and loading trucks at night. I over saw an office of 8 - 10 employees. I handled all of the financial aspects of the corporation.
