Clinic Office Assistant, I've been Working at the Front desk for North Memorial clinic for over a year. My duties include checking patients in, inputting there insurance, making sure there chart is correct before they are taken back by the medical staff. I input faxes, HIPAA forms, My Charts , and do  reminder calls. Our days are very full with over 200 patients a day . We also do the OH appointments when they walk in for drug screens or any other pre employment physicals / DOT . I have worked with NextGen and Epic. I was a Realtor for about 4 years and just decided to enter into a new world with some consistence . My duties as a Realtor included showings for my buyers, guiding my sellers on how to sell there home with a profit. Protecting my clients from a bad investments or from someone taking advantage of them. I would hold opens on the weekends , write purchase agreements , addendum's , contracts , and dealing with inspections on the property. My job was not just trying to sell or find homes for my clients , It was to ease there nerves and to guide them as best as possible . Scheduler , I worked a MNGI in St Paul for about 10 months, I answered high volume calls , scheduled many colonoscopies , upper endoscopies , lab/office appointments. I  would go over there prep with the clients  and would have to make sure they weren't on any blood thinners and that they understood all the instructions. I would talk with them about any concerns they where having . Many times patients had to be scheduled at the hospital with other health concerns. My main job with to schedule the patients correctly and that they understood the prep and location they where scheduled at. Schedulers are the face of the company and we took that seriously and brought much kindness and respect for the patients that where calling in.

I answered a high volume of calls with many questions from the patients. I scheduled Colonoscopies , upper endoscopies , office apt , lab apt. When you schedule a procedure you have to make sure the patient is well aware of the prep and where they are having the procedure done at. We also wanted to get this done in a timely manner due to the high volume of calls coming in. Every apt may be scheduled differently depending on what they where coming in for. You would want to be kind and caring for the patient and listen to there concerns and try to ease there anxiety . There would be times you would have to schedule this apt at the hospital and would have to make sure the doctor was at the particular hospital at that time and date and set it up and confirming this apt with the hospital. Certain patients needed special care as well. Scheduling is multi tasking with a smile on your face.

Not only do we input there insurance, ID , demographics and much more. We give forms that needs to be filled depending on the provider. We make many appointments through our days as well. I input faxes an place them certain files . We scan in the PHI forms and send over the prescriptions. Every patient is different so making sure our attitude is in check if you get a difficult one is also important.
