I have done jobs in a few different fields. I have worked as a plastic manufacturer doing the hard labor work and being trained to be an operator, I've done concrete construction with a company called LAB and we worked 5-6 days a week no matter the conditions. I learned a lot in the first few weeks, I'm capable of learning a huge amount in a short period of time. I always strive to learn more, I can never know enough. I've also worked as an auto glass and residential glass installer for a couple of months. And currently I'm working as a crawlspace and attic restoration technician but there is not enough work to support even myself. I'm having a baby boy he will be born in a couple of weeks and I need a reliable job and hopefully career!
When I started doing attic and crawlspace clean outs they allowed me to run the crew and do my own jobs within 3 weeks of starting and I passed all of the post inspections!
Offered to train for crew leader/management position.
Always recommended to go on the toughest jobs.
I offloaded bags and plastic to package, ran the machines in place of operators and corrected any problems. Was trusted to do quality checks. My quality checks always passed. I was in the process of being trained to be an operator but I wanted to move to the northwest because of all of the opportunities around here.
Had all different kinds of jobs to do. It was a terribly fast paced environment because it was a commercial company. I was able to jump on in the middle of the project and pick up everything I needed to know. Also I assisted skilled workers with their projects. Kept all working areas clean to avoid hazards.
There are so many things that I do with this company. Driving the big box trucks to jobs and getting them done was my main job. But I also did a lot of other jobs that are on the cleaner side. No matter how dirty the crawlspace or attic was I was expected to go do the job and I did, no matter how wet it was in the crawlspace or how tight it was I was expected to do it and I did.
While I worked with this company part time and for a short time, I learned a lot and I had a lot to offer. I did most of the auto glass installing and all of the shop clean up. I love working in the shop environment it's something I've wanted to do since I was a kid but had never had the resources to do it. I enjoy every second of being in the shop.
I did not finish high school because the situation I was in did not allow me to do that. I'm wanting to get my GED and take some college courses on line. And I want to do that as soon as I can.
