Responsible for managing high risk patients in an undeserved population in a hospital of 2,500 deliveries per year with a level 2 NICU. Gain exposure with Davinci Robot, proficient in being primary assist as well as docking and undocking the robot. Continuity clinic focusing on the high risk obstetrical patients and triaging gynecological patients preoperatively and postoperatively. Administrative chief during my fourth year of residency. Responsibilities include developing the call schedule, assisting with the development of OB boot camp as well as being the primary liaison to the program director, attendings and the maternal health staff.
Provided prenatal care and postnatal care in a weekly basis in our clinic. Exposure to high risk pregnancy, while working closing with Maternal fetal medicine and our clinic. Experienced in caring for multiple obstetricians' patients in a facility of over 2,500 deliveries with a level 2 NICU, one third being high risk. Exposed to a variety of deliveries such as forceps, vacuum extractions, and water births. Great foundation of obstetrics and gynecology, however unable to complete the duration of residency due to lack of funding.
Completed rotations to fulfill the D.O. requirements. Rapidly assessed and responded to medical emergencies at a level one trauma center. Responsible for 12-15 patients daily with a focus in internal medicine. Gained experience in the ICU by being responsible for up to 5 patients in the intensive care unit on a daily basis, including the insertion and maintenance of central lines and intubation/ventilation settings.
