  • Build positive relationships with patients and family members to include providing extensive patient education pre and post Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) and Orthotopic Heart Transplant.
  • Serve as a patient advocate by collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to promote and implement effective and efficient patient care outcomes in emergency admissions and discharges.
  • Proactively work closely with attending physicians, residents, ancillary staff, and other healthcare professionals (respiratory, physical, and occupational therapists; dieticians, etc.) to revise the developed and individualized continuum of care based on ongoing patient assessment, priorities and progress.
  • Experienced infusing IL-2 chemotherapy for renal cell and melanoma patients.
  • Knowledgeable and efficient in troubleshooting and assisting physicians with Swan Ganz catheters, intra-aortic balloon pumps, temporary pacemakers, cardioversion, hypothermia units, I-STAT, LVADs such as the Heartmate II, Impella, and Tandem Heart.
