Energetic employee focused on reducing recidivism and helping juveniles improve life situations. I am passionate about working with young adults as well as effective at managing difficult cases and making sound, educated decisions. I am looking to tackle new responsibilities and build upon skills. Ensuring the safety, well-being and welfare of juveniles are all important to carry out the position; all of which I am prepared to do.
I earned my BA in Psychology while keeping a job as well as being a part of an organization on campus. With studying and working while being in an organization, I quickly learned to stay organized and manage my time. I then decided to take on a position in the organization, giving me more responsibilities. I oversaw over 100 young women and lead in activities while ensuring all were following guidelines. I increased engagement in activities by more than 25% and was suggested on taking a position in the alumni organization. Though all these activities at once were stressful, I am able to de-stress through activities in my personal life.
As a part time nanny for the Payrovi family, I assisted three children with homework assignments and special projects across different subjects to promote academic success. I engaged in different types of activities to enhance physical and intellectual development. With the youngest, 5 years old, I encouraged the child to be understanding and patient with others. Because they are currently in online school, it was important that I monitored school schedules and due dates to keep the children up to date with their academics. To be specific, I helped children complete homework assignments and identify which areas they needed improvement on. With each child, I engaged with them individually to build positive relationships and gain a mutual respect. As a result, a positive and nurturing environment was created to support the children's social and emotional growth. Because the children are younger and were often frustrated with online school, working with the parents to develop and implement discipline programs as well as a reward system to promote positive behavior was crucial.

As a head basketball coach for a 6th grade boys team, I directed ambitious practice sessions to boost athletic abilities and teamwork. It was important that I provided instruction to the children the fundamentals of basketball. As head coach, it was my job to manage drills in all skills of basketball and fitness circuits to increase athletes' coordination and performance levels. In congruence, I evaluated individual knowledge, skills and strengths and assigned team positions to maximize talent areas. I carefully monitored athletes during practice to quickly identify injuries and ensure they get the proper attention. It was crucial for the youth that I led the team through rough periods, including losses by enforcing game focus and using encouraging words as well as positive reinforcement to boost the team's confidence and attitudes. This also aided in motivating athletes to become stronger, more agile and more effective with the help of training habits.
As a kids club associate, I looked after multiple children at once, ranging from ages 6 months to 12 years old. I developed plans and activities to promote children's physical and emotional development. I carried this out by engaging with them through exercise, board games, and arts and crafts, all while making sure each child was safe and productive. There were a few children with special needs that I worked with closely as they required more guidance and attention. With multiple children to look after at once, I maintained group discipline through positive reinforcement, behavior modeling and collaboration with parents. It was essential that parents were paged or called to assist with discipline issues and personal needs, including diaper changes. This position also demanded attention to safety and detail when monitoring entrances and exits to maintain safety and organized environments. To keep the space suitable for children, I completed daily cleaning checklists by sanitizing toys, sweeping and mopping floors and washing down surfaces.
