Eleven years of experience in the real estate industry has given me the knowledge and skills to successfully process a mortgage loan at each critical stage.
I was hired on as a part-time employee May 10, 2010 to help with administrative duties with processing and shipping files. August 1, 2010 I was hired on as a full-time employee. I currently process for four loan originators. Currently close between 12-25 units per month. When the file is turned in to processing I review the file/program and set up a preliminary conditions list that we need to collect prior to submitting for Final Underwriting. When I have all the items requested the file is submitted for underwriting approval. I check all program guideline as well as any overlays the investor may have. I am responsible to remain current on guideline updates with FNMA, Freddie Mac, USDA, and FHA. It is my responsibility that we have the file as complete as we can prior to underwriting approval. Once the file is approved I notify the loan officer and coordinate closing times so our doc department has the times and dates they need for signing and funding. I work with our post-closing department on any post closing requirements for the investor prior to purchase.
Moved with my Escrow Officer to a new title company. LandAmerica was getting ready to go out of business. All my job responsibilities were the same.
Processed for escrow department to clear title prior to closing (order payoff's on DOT, liens, judgments, child support, LID, HOA dues, and irrigation). Prepared HUD-1 settlement statements on refinance transaction based off of lender closing instructions and numbers. Prepared Escrow Closing Documents. Worked closely with realtors and lenders to schedule signing appointments or coordinate courtesy closings. Notarized loan packages. Balanced with the lenders, ordered wires, disbursed funds at closing.
Set up files, answered phones, made copies, set up conference rooms and processed accounts receivable. Shipped all files to our investors according to their stacking requirements and worked closely with our closing department for verbal verifications of employment prior to funding the loan. In early 2003 I took a transfer within the company to fill in for a Sr. Processor who was taking six months off for maternity leave. I processed for the Branch Manager in Spokane, Washington my last seven months of employment.
A part-time student and worked full time from 1997-2003 when I transferred to Northwest Nazarene University in 2003.
Began the MBA STEP Program in Spring and 2004. My focused shifted to starting a family prior to completing.
