Accurately recorded and reported test results according to established procedures in a convenient care setting. Collected and analyzed all specimens in a one person STAT laboratory. Stayed on PRN after taking a position at the blood center to keep up to date on knowledge in core laboratory testing.
Laboratory Technician for the USAF. Completed my OJT at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL due to graduating top of my class and being able to pick my next assignment. First duty station was RAF Lakenheath where I worked all benches in the laboratory to include Hematology, Chemistry, Immunology, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Specimen Collection and Shipping/Reference departments. Deployed in support of OIF to Landstuhl AFB in Germany as a Blood Center/Collections member. We were an eight man team that collected and processed approximately 50-100 units daily. Second duty station was Keesler AFB where I was a supervisor in the Blood Bank. Deployed to Iraq in 2004 for non-lab related duties and separated from active duty in May 2005 when I received and honorable discharge into the reserves. Completed my reserve time in 2007.
