Facilitate communication with visual information assets and public affairs specialist to coordinate documentation of worldwide media coverage of operations and exercises.
Copy edit captions and metadata to ensure it complies with Associated Press and Department of Defense style.
Ensure images conform to proper English usage, format, and style.
Confirm imagery is edited for clarity, coherence, logical flow, and consistency.
Write new metadata when images arrive without it.
Write contents of captions and keywords based on sight recognition of military equipment.
Ensure spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and grammars used in captions are correct.
Ensure caption information complies with applicable laws and regulations.
Verify the identification of military hardware depicted in the imagery being processed with the information provided in the caption data.
