•Training new drivers the proper way to preform pre-trips, route driving, and student management, and railroad crossings along with other Colorado Department of Education, and DCSD district policies and procedures.
•Document and investigate any concerns of parents, school administration, students and management.
•Assisting current bus drivers with added/changed CDE and DCSD policies and procedures as they occur.
•Perform ride along, observe and evaluate driver skills, student management skills and then properly documenting and discussing with area managers, and or trainers.
•Offer suggestions to drivers in obtaining better student management, and helping them implement strategies for students with behavioral issues.
•Reviewed videos relating to driving skills and student management concerns.
•Upholding the exemplary commitment, responsibility, professionalism and courtesy that DCSD bus drivers offer to the Douglas County Community.
•Participates in yearly safety and emergency management training.
•Completed all necessary paperwork on a daily basis. Including but not limited to pre and post trip inspections, bus referrals, and maintenance requests.
•Exceptional ability to operate in a stressful, fast paced, deadline oriented, no room for error environment.
•Proven ability at working with no supervision, and making proper decisions when having to re-route due to inaccessibility on given routes, all while keeping the safety of students and the public as top priority.
