Pt check in/out, print daily statements and collect copays/past due,insurance verification, referrals, scheduling, answer multi phone lines, vitals, gather patient history, blood draws, administer injections,urine dips, and chart prep/medical records.
Medical Assistant: prepare EMR for future appointments, upload labs, Dr. notes, or radiology reports previously ordered- (my responsibility to request and obtain such information), check vitals & gather history, order u/s, call in referrals, prior authorizations, check urines, refill e-scripts as ordered by our physicians, administer aranesp injections as directed, sanitize/stock exam rooms, notify patients with test results.
Scheduler: register patients, add/update demographics and insurance information, request/obtain medical records for new patients, schedule consult & f/u appointments as needed, schedule patients with other specialists.
perform vital signs, gather confidential information for specific procedures, Educate patients in person/phone calls, insurance verification,, prior authorizations and schedule patients for various tests such as X-RAY/CT'S, EKG's, Sleep studies, and Follow-ups.
Transfer information from hard copy to Clinical Master, such as patient information, vitals, medications, immunization, subjective, and disposition with accuracy, copay collection, answer multi phone line, and schedule appointments.
Assist clients with everyday living, chores, errands, and companionship, transport to and from appointments.
