I began teaching at The Ethel Walker School in 1990. I served as the middle school's math teacher for five years. I returned to that position in 2008.
After successfully leading our community through its Centennial in the fall of 2011, I have taken on more responsibility as the Director of the Middle School. I appreciate the many opportunities for professional growth that are available at a private school.
In my six years at Walker's I have taught math and been a student advisor. Other responsibilities have included: middle school community service coordinator; service on the faculty/staff executive committee; and middle school lacrosse assistant coach.
I was asked to step in and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Summer at Walker's camp. I was responsible for supervising a staff of teachers, dorm parents and interns. In addition to my management responsibilities, I participated in planning internal activities and field trips.
I taught individual and group classes.
I taught sixth grade math, pre-Algebra and Algebra I.
I taught Algebra III/ Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and AB Calculus.
I worked with master teachers in Algebra I and Geometry. I was also a dorm parent.
4.0 average for all course work.
Phi Beta Kappa and Honors graduate. Varsity swimmer.
Combination major in Math, Computer Science and Economics.
