I currently have 10 months of experience in the steel industry. In those ten months I have earned my high low, hub-tech and crane permits per Alro.Since I started at Alro, I have also been trained to worked on the shear, miter saw and band saw. I am looking to possibly find a well paying job closer to home.
Started machine operations by inserting control instruction into control units. Ran cranes, fork trucks, and side loaders, carrying up to 20,000 lbs up to 48 ft long. Made precise miter cuts to a .0312 of an inch. Ran automatic programs and manual programs on a Marvel Saw, M-20 saw, band saw and a shear.
Assembled and installed wiring, on water softeners. Reassembled equipment after completed repairs. Routinely inspected machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Opened the building in the A.M, Ordered food through our main supplier, Put away stock, checked in and signed for alcohol and food deliveries, was the P.I.C when no other managers were on duty and the health department came in for inspections. I am still employed there but because of lack of business they changed from full-time work to seasonal.
Left because it was seasonal work: Ran Kitchen, Cooked on line, prepped and incorporated my own recipes. Worked two seasons
