I began my IBEW residential apprenticeship in 1998 and upgraded to a commercial apprenticeship 2 years later. I successfully completed all 5 years and received my status as a state licensed Journeyman Electrician in 2005. In 2015 I obtained my Master Electrician license.
Throughout my apprenticeship and after I have had a diverse experience of a small amount of industrial work in food processing plants, but mostly commercial work in grocery stores, hospitals, schools, and municipal buildings, to name a few. The work itself has also been diverse, ranging from rough to finish work, as well as from traditional electrical work such as bending pipe and pulling wire, to more specialized work such as Fire Alarm systems, control work, and most recently, vehicle traffic control and intersection wiring, including work for the DOT on Interstate 94 for the Zoo Interchange project.
Ability to design electrical systems that meet the requirements of the NEC.
Ability to work well with others, to listen to and respect the ideas and concerns of other people, as well as articulate my own thoughts, contributing to a successful team environment.
