I was responsible for negotiating directly with the local Iraqi contractors and conducting on-site project assessments to ensure that the proper work was being done and that the timelines & milestones were being met.
I coordinated and managed all contractor payments, which were mostly done in cash, depending on the negotiated payment terms with the local Iraqi contractors.
This included negotiating and deducting partial payments due to inadequate work or missed timelines.
