Maintenance Mechanic experienced in operating boilers, refrigeration machinery, pumps, piping, cooling towers and water treatment program and electrical equipment. Highly efficient and results-oriented.
Extensive background with powered equipment and heavy machinery certified industrial electrician and boiler operator
During a plant-wide meeting, a makeup air unit was shut down in order to hear a Speaker. There was a lunch afterward, and an extended break. During this time control wiring and pilot burners for two new large water heaters was destroyed in a small fire caused by a lack of draft. With no parts on hand for this new system, and the installing crew (and replacement parts) unavailable for at least a week, I managed to rewire the control circuit and adapt pilot feeds from a former break room stovetop to have one of the units back in service before break was over and the other, more damaged unit, before it was missed . This saved fifteen shifts of production! The units worked flawlessly until the correct parts arrived when only the pilot setup was replaced. The wiring remains today from my first week on the job.
