Drives efficiency in the Site maintenance work flow process to reduce costs to maintain reliable assets. Works with project engineering and technical management to ensure the reliability and maintain ability of new and modified installations. Participates by providing criteria for the evaluation of equipment and technical suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Directly responsible for the coaching and mentoring of subordinates and for the retention of technical team members. Participates in budgeting activities, reviews costs and expenses, and strives for continuous improvement in the unit's the operating costs. Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/re-design, and make/buy decisions. Leads in the areas of Loss Elimination, Risk Management, Life Cycle Asset Management and Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs of the facility. Develops and guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety and environmental systems.Provides production with analyses of assets including utilization, equipment effectiveness, useful life, reliability, and costs of assets. Oversees and participates in the development of engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect plant manufacturing operations.
I have been in my current role as Maintains supervisor/manager of maintenance for about 7 years. Prior to this position I as a maintenance planner.
Currently Conduct 6/S inspections, keep all techs up to date with new training. Help with the day to day plant operations.
I'm responsible for all aspects of the maintenance department including facilities. Our maintenance CMM is SAP which is our company main system. I currently have 28 trades Techs that report to me 24/7 which include MRO, trades and planners.
I Directly controls budgeted hours for the assigned location. Involved with daily tasks and responsibilities to employees. Inspect the work on an ongoing basis to ensure performance is at the expected levels. Assists Operations Manager in improving the work and the machine OEE. Attend new machine runoffs to ensure that the new equipment is safe and provide the maintenance input. Responsible for site Orientation and training of new maintenance personnel. Maintain time keeping records for all personnel. Provides disciplinary counseling to employees outlining expectations. Respond to customer requests and ensure follow up. Identify and resolve problems on site and inform or involve the Operations Manager as necessary. Responsible for inventory control of all maintenance spare parts. Preform all assigned duties as requests by the plant manager. Experience shutting down the Thyssenkrupp Hoesch spring plant in Ohio and moving all of the production equipment to Mexico then reassemble all lines.
I have vast knowledge in the areas of Robotices, Pneumatics, Electrical, Mechanical, controls Siemens and Allen Bradley.
