Held several operational and administrative billets with 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines in Philadelphia, Pa. Among them were Battalion Communications Chief and served as the Acting Battalion Communications Officer for eighteen months. Responsibilities included the planning and implementation of VHF, HF and SATCOM voice and digital communications plans for Artillery Battalion. Secondary assignment included the supervision of a platoon of 40 Marines and maintaining accountability for over 400 pieces of communications equipment. Secret Clearance/Honorable Retirement. -Supervised Communications Platoon's training and implementation of the new Communications Operation Center. -Planned, developed and implemented communications plans for Platoon, Battery and Battalion level FEX and Battalion Annual Training. -Planned, coordinated, and led the first ever Communications Platoon FEX in January 2010, refining UOC set-up and operations procedures in a cold weather environment. -Assisted the Battalion EKMS manager in receiving current COMSEC material and destroying superseded material. -Designed and implemented new Battalion COMSEC tracking procedures. -Designed Battalion's EPLRS fielding plan. Gunnery Sergeant/Communications Advisor (MOS 0699) May 2005- May 2006 Served in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from June 2005-February 2006 as an advisor and mentor to the new Iraqi Army.
