Professional Summary
  • I am an experienced lifeguard versed in keen observation of swimmers and safety protocols. As well as offered valuable tips and instruction to patrons of various ages to build confidence and strength in water. I also have strong communication skills and am team player with superior work ethic. Working as a lifeguard can be seen as an easy job to some, but the skill, training, and patience that comes with the job can be difficult and even frustrating at times. I have dealt with angry members, struggling children, and even have had to tend to emergencies throughout our entire facility because of my intense training.
  • Being a swim instructor is the best part of my job! I love being able to teach kids and even adults proper swimming techniques and water safety. Although some patrons may have a fear of bodies of water, it is my job to help them conquer that fear and become well equipped with the techniques used to prevent hazard from happening.
  • Growing up the eldest sibling I was "in charge" of my two younger siblings when my parents had to run errands or go to work. With that experience I have been asked to babysit and house sit for multiple families within my community. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED all by red cross. Mothers and fathers look at that as a bonus because they know their children will be in good hands if anything was to go wrong!
Accomplishments

I was chosen to represent my home state of Kentucky at a youth leadership program held at the FBI headquarters In Quantico, VA. Throughout the week we had intense physical training, tough educational classes, and our mental stability was put to the test. After we completed the week one student was recognized nationally as "The Leader among all Leaders". Fortunately I was chosen to receive that award. I have been contacted by new students going through the academy and past students which made me feel very proud of myself and all that I had accomplished!
