With over twenty years experience in the printing industry I bring a sense of urgency and high regard to company values as it relates to customer relations and creating a positive working environment to facilitate the promotion and profit for all.
My talents can be benefited in several positions from pre-press production operator in flexo or litho printing to customer service representative to department manager.
With being a motivated self-starter I can be trusted to perform at a high level with little or no supervision and expected to offer excellent communications and rapport with fellow associates.
I Thrive in a fast pace work environment maintaining a personable and professional disposition while under pressure.

I began my career in the printing industry here and gained valuable experience by working in several positions including shipping/receiving, bindery, press room and pre-press. When I left Quebecor after nineteen years due to the plant closure I was responsible for every pre-press task from job entry to quality control.
The knowledge that I carried forward from this employment is the foundation which can be attributed to my current expertise using Mac and Windows OS, Adobe Creative Suite of tools and MS Office Suite. I also gained extensive knowledge in CTP workflows as it relates to lithograph printing.
With Mulligan Printing I hit the ground running by contributing my previous knowledge of the Creo Printergy workflow to their newly installed system during a critically busy time. Being experienced with the various aspects of the workflow such as Adobe Creative Suite, CREO's advanced trapper, PREPs step and repeat software and the CREO Trendsetter plate setter was a huge benefit to the company because no jobs were dropped or missed their delivery dates due to downtime for training their current pre-press associates.
With very little indoctrination into the company I was trusted to work the third shift pre-press alone and did so with great success.
This employment opportunity was short lived as it was a fill in role during their "rush" season.
Vertis offered the opportunity to continue my personal growth in the printing industry by extending a position as a mac operator. In this position I continued to learn how to apply my knowledge of pre-press to formulate a more efficient workflow that contributed to the profit and growth of the company.
I was hired at a time when several (then current) pre-press associates were leaving the company for a position within a newly formed company in St. Louis. This lead to a time of stress and anxiety within Vertis. The company soon learned that they were able to capitalize on my experience and knowledge along with my quality of being well organized by allowing the jobs to flow through our pre-press department without a hiccup due to the departure of personnel.
Throughout my career at Vertis I became proficient in preparing agency supplied files for commercial printing by performing tasks such as color corrections and compositions using Photoshop, assembling pages and die cut elements using InDesign and Illustrator and transferring files via FTP and customer exchange sites.
I also filled in as a flexo production operator as needed in our packaging department.
My essential qualities as a self starter and eagerness to learn new charges gained the attention of my superiors and allowed for my progression from production to management.
As the pre-press manager my most important role was to report as needed to our Vice President of Production, communicate to the staff and maintain a daily schedule to ensure that everyone knew their role and importance within our department. Other duties included communicating directly with our customers and vendors, reviewing and maintaining contracts, approving employee's time sheets, vacation requests and carrying out performance evaluations.
As Vertis Communications became part of Quad Graphics our pre-press department was dissolved and I was absorbed into the new company under a different title.
As a Product Specialist one of my duties is to continue to execute color corrections for one of my previous customers with Vertis. Unlike other clients that moved on to other service providers after the merger, this customer preferred to stay because of the bond I created by consistently meeting or exceeding their expectations. As with several other clients I have worked with in the past, brand recognition is very important in the way they promote their products and each has their own highly regarded expectations which I respect and honor.
Other facets of my current position is the opportunity to work with asset management software such as the Open Text Media Management Tool and to provide Marketing on Demand through our exclusive Enklav tool. This tool allows a user through a web interface to choose and personalize postcards, flyers and other forms of media to suite their needs.
With these tools comes the responsibility to support the customer and their users by assembling, uploading and maintaining a inventory of media templates to use. Other responsibilities include unlocking user accounts, supporting user help calls and providing usage report back to the system administrator.
One last role I support as a Product Specialist is to maintain complete and detailed job tickets and finance spreadsheets to use in the billing and invoice process. Micro Soft Office tools such as Word and Excel along with company owned software are my resources in providing billing documentation on a monthly basis.
