Being a part of the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer is something I have wanted to do for a very long time. This past September I became a certified ACE Personal Trainer, and I am very excited about pursuing my new career. I want to help other's achieve their health and fitness goals, and establish a hard-working and successful career of my own as a Personal Trainer.
Completed many relevant health and fitness courses such as, Medical terminology, Medical Terminology and Disease Processes I, Advanced P.E., and successive years of Biology courses.
I studied at George Mason University for one semester and I completed a Biology course named, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and other courses such as, Introduction to computing, Small-Group Communication Skills, and Personal Health.
I returned from George Mason University to attend New River Community College and finish my Associates Degree. I have finished many of the core classes that I needed to complete such as, Calculus, Economics, History, English, and Music classes.
I began studying for my ACE certification in February 2015 and worked very hard to read through all of the materials I was given and I successfully passed the exam in September 2015.
-In High School I placed 1st overall in DECA competition in the field of Principles of Marketing, and attended DECA State Competition in Principles of Marketing.
-In 9th,10th, and 11th grade I was a Varsity Letterman for our school's Outdoor Track & Field organization.
-Competed in the Outdoor Track & Field VA State Competition as a Discus thrower.
-I was on the all A/B honor roll 9th, 10th, and 11th grade.
-I am on the President's List at NRCC currently for having a GPA of 3.75 or higher, and for receiving a 4.00 GPA last semester.
-Both my CPR and AED certifications are up to date.
-I am an ACE certified Personal Trainer as of September 30, 2015.
-I volunteered for over 150 hours at Montgomery Regional Hospital as a Floor Volunteer.
I began working at Southwestern Lawn & Landscaping when I was 15 years old. I learned how to work very hard every day to complete difficult tasks. I had many jobs to do such as, raking trimmings, planting trees, bushes, flowers, etc., driving dump trucks once I obtained my driver's license, operating a chain saw, leveling ground, operating a mulch machine, laying sod, and much more. One of the very valuable skills I learned over the four summers I worked here, was how to communicate with many different people who come from extremely different walks of life than myself.
As a front desk employee of this gym I learned the daily activities and necessities of operating a gym. I would sell memberships, renew memberships, cancel memberships, perform laundry duties, clean equipment, manage the cash register, and close down the gym at night.
I currently work as a Barista at Tea & Crepe shop. Every night shift that I work my responsibilities are to make drinks, cook crepes, clean kitchen utensils, manage the cash register, mop the floors of the establishment, help unload shipments, and more.
