Feed the Need Bahrain – Sar, The Kingdom of Bahrain
  • Feed the Need Bahrain is a charity project which places free, donated refrigerators throughout the island of Bahrain where anyone can donate food, water, and other staples for those who do not have sufficient means or are unemployed. Refrigerators are open to anyone in need and open 24/7 and targeted for local, low-income neighborhoods which tend to house Bahrain's poor immigrant population.
  • As Community Liaison & Military Liaison from Sept 2014 to April 2016, I was a member of the project's executive management team as staff (unpaid volunteer work). I helped to promote and publicize the charity project withvarious entities and social groups within Bahrain, such as the US and UK Embassies in Bahrain, spoke with media sources to help publicize the project, sought volunteers to help increase our presence online through social media and other project ventures, and communicated volunteer and charitable opportunities to both the US naval base and the US Embassy communities in Bahrain. It is estimated that over 5,000 individuals have benefited from this project and continue to do so to date.  I gathered and coordinated volunteer actors for a short, promotional film done on Feed the Need Bahrain by a local marketing firm. Efforts resulted in the expansion of this charity project into Saudi Arabia by another group of volunteers.
