Supervised and facilitated an individualized learning program for grades 6th -10th grade known as Catalyst. In Catalyst, students receive the academic support they need to close learning gaps. Conduct classroom observations and provide teacher feedback. Support, model, coach and provide professional development for teachers and other instructional staff.
Responsibilities included: Servicing all special education students at the elementary level through various class settings (Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD), Life Skills, Resource/Inclusion). Adapted teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs. Planned and conducted activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provided students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate. Collaborated with classroom teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications were being implemented in the classroom for ultimate student success. Prepared all required documentation such as Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and/or Behavior Plans for each individual student.
Managed the committee and coordinated the Response to Intervention (RTI) program for the campus.
