  • Oversee Behavior Specialist in development of behavior plans and patient intervention strategies; chair monthly team meetings; participate on various committees(included being cultural diversity trainer; maintain standards for JCAHO and CARF certification; assist to create additional Acquired Brain Injury units to increase from 10 beds to 34 beds (HSC currently has 25 beds); program development to include development of groups and program structure; train unit staff; develop orientation materials for new and current employees; assist in employee annual evaluation; individual and group treatments; carry specific patient case load as needed; work closely with Psychologists, Physician, Nursing, and therapy staff; advocate for patients and include them in their treatment planning.
  • Due to the sometimes dangerous or threatening behaviors of some patients, I also demonstrated proficiency in leading the Dr. Strong intervention team (emergency response team at HSC) in the utilization of physical management strategies.
  • Participate on the admissions committee, interview perspective patients, participate in the discharge process including training of community providers.
  • Develop annual training calendar for physical management training, developed orientation packet for Neurobehavioral staff; provided 10-20 inservices related to brain injury and behavioral modification.
  • Many other duties assumed or assigned.
