I have the knowledge of a professional housekeeper. I have engaged in a specific activity as a means of livelihood. I worked at Albany General Hospital first time in 1988. There I learned how to remove stains out of carpets. I also learned how to buff and strip floors. There was also meeting rooms that had to be set up for meetings. It was also a job that I worked alone. To work alone you needed to be self motivated and fast.. I also cleaned and made sure all rooms I cleaned was free of germs. I also cleaned offices. Since I cleaned patience rooms. I was in contact with people. I have excellent customer service skills. I have also worked in sales I have had several hours of customer service training. I worked at the hospital for 2years then I moved out of state. I worked at Albany General Hospital again in 2001 till 2002. I was a housekeeper then to the second time around it just refreshed my skills. In 2002 my son and I went on the road with my boyfriend. He is a pipe fitter so we went from Albany, Oregon through 12 states over 24 months. When I returned to Albany I went to work at a super market until 2005. At that time I was hired by Greater Albany Public School Dist. as a custodian. I worked there for 5 years it was a very busy job. Cleaning and floor care and working with the public. At the school it was a fast pace job. I had to be ready for what ever might come up plus the duties for the day. My day started out at 10:00 am at one of the dist. offices.There I cleaned several offices and their lunch room. At 11:30 I would head to the grade school and work there till 5:30 pm. I loved both my jobs, I enjoy staying on top of the job. I like to always have my cleaning jobs at there best. I am a good team player and enjoy working with and for people. I moved down to Gold Hill Oregon last January for another new job. I was a in home caregiver till September of 2013. At that time he past away and since then I have been doing some personal houses and washing windows for a family owned business. I am in need of a full time job. I attend Portland Community College on line. I only take 2 classes a term so I still have time to work full time. I am very dependable and can get ready very fast if called in at the last minute. I also have experience in sales and working on a computer so I can also work the front desk.
When I work I will always go the extra mile to get the job done. When I work with others if they need help I have no problem jumping in. I can stay after if needed and I have a dependable transportation. I hope I have a chance to show you how eager of a worker I am.
This job was long hours and duties was none stop. I enjoyed taking care of the gentleman. I knew him for 11 years before I started caring for him.
This summer we stayed real busy. With the winter here we are still working just not as much.
I was still employed by them but with all the cut backs in the school funding hours were cut.
I worked there also in 1988 till 1990 as a housekeeper.
When I started working for Sears I started in the mens and children's department. I was just hired for Christmas help. after the holidays they moved me to appliances and started training me. At Sears I had several months of customer service training over the years of working for them.
The University cost more then I could afford. So I quit and started at PCC summer of 2013.
