Position Objective: The Trainer provides support for the training department conducting new hire safety orientation and follow-up of all trainees. Also serve as liaison between trainers and training manager.
Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility):
1.Comply with Procedures found in SMS manual.
2.Perform all job duties using safe work methods.
3.Comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy.
4.Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as required.
5.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
6.Conduct orientation for new employees.
7.Maintain employee training files.
8.Ensuring each employee receives required training and that training records are complete for each employee.
9.Ensuring when a document has been changed that requires training, that the persons affected by change are trained.
10.Certify On the Job Trainers and maintain documentation of employees certified as On the Job Trainers.
11.Conduct Lift Truck Training, certify Lift Truck Operators and issue lift truck license.
12.Maintain documentation of Certified Lift Truck Operators.
13.Prepare training package for hourly employees and forward to On the Job Trainer
14.Prepare Weekly Job Performance on all trainees.
15.Issuing of job certification Certificate.
16.Entering required training data into Shaw Learning Management System.
17.Issue training materials to departments as needed.
18.Review Job Activity Review Sheets with trainee, trainer and Shift supervisor weekly.
19.Interface between trainee, On the Job Trainer and supervisor.
20.Perform other duties assigned by Training Manager.
21.Assist other Human Resource personnel as needed.
