Scheduled dining reservations in advance and as greeted reserved as well and walk-in guests as they arrived at the restaurant. Under the supervision of the intern manager and working with members of the animal staff, I monitored and observed the animals in various locations in the Zoo. I am also r developed and executed an observation project designed to assist the Zoo in gathering information on the behaviors of a specific in-house species. At various “Exploration Stations” strategically located throughout the Zoo I encouraged visitors to participate, touch, and ask questions that will increase their knowledge of the animals in the using interactive activities or bio facts (skins, skulls, teeth, etc.) relating to a specific animal and its conservation.
Worked side by side with the KidZooU keepers providing routine husbandry for animals in the Zoo's exhibit and teaching collections which encompass all types of animals including parrots, raptors, hedgehogs, porcupines, coendus, rabbits, chickens, ferrets, ducks, reptiles, invertebrates and even fish. My specific responsibilities included preparing and distributing food, maintaining exhibits/enclosures, assisting with keeping animal health and behavior records, and assisting with animal capture, crating and transfer, animal enrichment and animal training with get hands-on experience in informal education. I also participated in the presentation of educational programs intended to enhance Zoo visitor's understanding of the natural world and helped provide daily educational programs using live domestic and exotic animals and animal artifacts.
Manage student resident hall suites comprising of approximately 40 students disseminating school policy while developing programs for residents to create a safe and healthy environment for all student residents. Additionally, act as the liaison between the residents and resident coordinator – drafting reports of violations, fines collected, and completion of maintenance work orders.
