Being in the food/service and service industry since is was 16 has been a big help for me, as I've learned a lot from not just the jobs themselves but the people whom I've met and worked with through this industry. Along with working at multiple different locations and companies I've seen how some differ from each other when it comes to standards and rules for operation. With every new position or transition I made I am able to adjust and use what I have previously learned in other experiences to best fit and complete my job.
I've always been a outdoorsy kid when I was little, but my eyes didn't really open up to everything until 2017, a trip to Colorado. It wasn't my first time their, but the one the left the biggest impression. That year when we went we spent a lot of time with my older cousin, who spends a lot of his free time going on his little adventures with his dog, camping, hiking, to anywhere that he could. His stories and passions inspired me as we would hike our way through that trip. The following year, the summer of 2018, he invited me to join him on his little journey to Moab, Utah. I flew to Denver to meet him with all my newly acquired gear and drove, camping in little spots he seemed to only know along the way, We spent two nights in this totally remote, amazing spot right outside Arches nation park and Canyon lands. I fell in love with Camping and the experiences it brought to me and the people who come with it. During the journey home I was already planning my next trip. The rest of that year was filled with work and smaller trips i would make with friends to parks close to Omaha, but that next year, summer of 2019, i flew out to Bozeman, Montana to do it again. I Flew and met him there, and started with a couple of his friends a two week journey road tripping our way to Seattle. We camped every night along the way and was able to immerse our selves in the beauty that is the Pacific North West. I have only gone on a couple journeys like that but I would call our nights in the panhandle of Idaho and washington the best, mesmerizing nights of my life. Sadly this Summer of 2020 i was unable to join my cousin again, However I did make a trip out to California to help two of my friends move in their. Starting in Omaha we drive to San Diego, making sure we made important pit stops in Colorado and Zion to get some nights under the stars. My mind as been blown by the different, amazing landscapes and terrain that cover the United States, and it would mean so much to take an opportunity to work in some of these places.
