Family Pet Hospital – San Antonio, TX
In my position, I am responsible for day to day operations of the hospital.  These include AR/AP using quick books, overseeing the staff to maximize efficiency of the appointments, drop off appointments and surgeries.

I am responsible for advertising, interviewing, contractual talks with Veterinarians and support staff as well as lend support to the supervisors in the training process.  I E-Verify, and set up the drug screening process?  I am responsible for the maintenance of employee records, process hours, benefits, reimbursments and report payroll to Paychex for processing.  Once returned to me, I verify payroll is correct.

I have helped the company grow its business from 600 thousand in annual revenue to 1.6 million in revenue in 2012.  I hired companies to aid in our online reputation and website development/maintenance to boost our patient database. 

I also interact with vendors, negotiating deals to save the company money.  For example:  I negotiated with Idexx Labs door a digital X-ray unit.  In doing so, I saved the company over 50k dollars by giving Idexx Labs 90% of our business.  I also negotiated free labwork and heartworm prevention for all staff members and doctors with various manufactures.

I interact with clients and patients.  If my receptionist supervisor cannot handle a distraught client, I step in and listen to the clients concern and quickly come up with a resolution to resolve the issue.

I over see and often fix any maintenance issues within the facility. I'm not afraid to get dirty.  I have fixed electrical issues, remodeling, painting, and landscaping to name a few.
