Served 5 years in the Navy as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician Electrical (GSE) from 2007 to July of 2012. My duties included maintenance, repair, precision calibration, and operational testing of electrical, mechanical pneumatic systems. Qualified as Electrical Propulsion Control Console Operator, Gauge Calibration Technician and Repair Parts Petty Officer.
Completed required hours for power plant, boiler operations, instrument calibration and electrical technician in the Journeyman Program.
•Operated and maintained the electrical plant control console, propulsion plant control console, fuel oil transfer ,damage control console, auxiliary systems control console, ship's control console, local operating panel, power supply signal conditioners and electrical distribution switchboards. Qualified HMI ( Human Machine Interface)/Smartship technician.
•Leadership and administrative skills are instrumental in the day to day operation on board USS Bunker Hill as a Repair Parts Petty Officer.
•Perform corrective maintenance LM2500 engines and Allison 501K-17 generators and various electrical equipment.
•Train personnel in the operation and casualty control procedures of the propulsion plant and electrical plant.
•Qualified Electrical Propulsion Control Console Operator.
•Managed and supervised six technicians on board USS Bunker Hill and assisted repairing several Damage Control Console alarms on board various other U.S. Navy ships.
