In the near future I want to become a chef. I am working on saving up some money to put myself through Culinary School. In the past I have worked as a line cook, grille cook, and a cake decorator. I am open to learning new things so that I can be experienced in anything and everything that can help me become a the chef I want to be one day.
I work on the line with other people cooking the best homemade food Cracker Barrel can offer. As an employee of Cracker Barrel I need to follow the cooking rules so that we don't go over food cost. I also dip out the food and make it look presentable.
This job was seasonal. On the flow team I was a shelf stocker. I would read the tags on the box and put them in the isle that that they belonged in. After all the boxes were pushed out the team would start stocking shelves. I had to stock a shelf a box a minute.
When I first started working here I was a dish washer. I moved up to Pantry Cook that summer and then to lunch line cook. This past year I got the position as Head Lunch Line Cook. I can use all kitchen utensils and I work efficent with the task that need to be done. In the summer of 2012 I started waitressing in the evenings. I learned how to work with people and how to deal with difficult tasks. I also learned patience is key when working with guests.
